This is the building where I work at Smith. My office is on the top floor, up on that little triangle of a roof on the left. Today I left work at 6:30. I teach three classes, take a little walk for a break, and then work until I'm done. Tuesdays and Thursdays are my work days, and I don't bring work home and feel like I can really focus on the kids on the other days.
Next year, I'll have to be more creative. I can't exactly stay away from a new baby for ten hours at a time, can I? It's hard to imagine what scenario is going to make sense for me when I go back to work with a 3-month-old and 2 older homeschooled kids at home.
One step at a time, I guess.
It will be what it will be and you will work it out somehow. I would think if you want to do the same thing you did this year after the classes are over you could have the baby in a sling while you finish up the work.
ReplyDeleteBut, you have time to figure all that out. Right now just concentrate on you and getting through what I always call the yukky part of pregnancy when you feel tired and nauseous and no one knows you are pregnant so you have to act normal. Then you start to feel better and tell people and you get lots of attention when you really needed the attention in the first trimester!
Easy. Drive baby and older homeschooled kids to NA to me, drive to work and then come back to get them. That would be nice. I love that you showed me where you work...can't believe I've never seen it.
